Ilfracombe Town Council seeks an organised, independent and adaptable individual to work on behalf of the Town Council in the role of Town Clerk
25 hours per week
Salary – within ITC pay range £25,961 to £33,437
(pro rata: 37.5 hours per week), commensurate with experience
We are looking for an experienced individual who is CiLCA-qualified or is willing to work towards attaining the CiLCA qualification to operate as the most senior official taking overall responsibility for the Council’s operations and finances and for supervising staff.
Working from the Town Council’s offices in the centre of Ilfracombe, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have experience of administrative management in a complex environment; a working knowledge of local government law and procedure; experience of line management of staff; financial management knowledge; the capacity to successfully represent the Town Council in discussions with external bodies; excellent IT skills; and a willingness to pursue ongoing training opportunities.
