In conjunction with North Devon Council we are looking at producing a promotional video for reopening businesses in Ilfracombe and we’d like some of you to take an active part.
North Devon Council have just launched a campaign called ‘Live Love Local’ and we would like to incorporate this into the video by bringing along a sign bearing the campaign name and then getting some of you as business owners/employees to stand in front of your shop/café/restaurant/hotel holding the sign (which will be laminated and antibac cleaned between uses!).
The ‘Live Love Local’ campaign aims to encourage residents to shop, buy and eat local, thereby injecting their money into the local economy to help it recover from the damage caused during the coronavirus pandemic. It also supports the Ilfracombe Town Council aim to reduce climate change, since taking advantage of the shops, restaurants and leisure facilities on our doorstep reduces the impact of consumerism on our environment.
In the short term we are asking residents and businesses to help raise awareness of the benefits of spending locally by sharing the hashtag #LiveLoveLocal in any social media posts involving Ilfracombe businesses. Longer term North Devon Council are looking at initiatives such as a high street loyalty card.
If you would like to be involved, filming will take place on Wednesday 8th July times to be confirmed.
All we need is for you to post in the comments with your business name, address (inc postcode), e-mail and phone number.
