Born in Ilfracombe, left at the age of 18 to train as an engineer. Returned to the Town in 1980 and I was a Councillor in the period 1987 to 91 and was re-elected in 2003.
Became Mayor of the Town in 1990 and again in 2010 and I currently Chair the Finance & General Purposes Committee and the Development Sites Group.
I am also Secretary of the Vision Centre Committee at Slade. Played a part in forming ‘One Ilfracombe’ and I am now Chairman of the Board.
The pioneering work being carried out by One Ilfracombe through the joint working of all of the Agencies that deliver services to our Town, is making a difference and I am determined to ensure that our Town continues to move forward by encouraging more private investment.
I am now retired from my family business at Mullacott Business Park and in forming the ‘Old Gits Club’ I am determined to make out Town look better.
